Growing leaders in the shrinking civic space (& AGM)

Registration & coffee from 09.30 // EN Round Table, 10.00-12.00

Tuesday 12 December 2017

(EN Members only: AGM & Members' Dinner on 11/12/2017)

EN and its partners are working together in the EU3Leader project to define future leadership competences. Alongside the project’s focus on entrepreneurial leadership, we want to ask what kind of leadership is needed to respond to the shrinking civic space.

We would like to hear how other civil society organisations and networks are responding to the shrinking civic space. We would also like to begin a discussion on whether and how social enterprises share responsibility for an open civic space.

Stephen J. Barnett, CEO, Euclid Network (Moderator)

  • Dr. Ruth Simsa, Competence Centre for Non-Profit Organisations and Social Entrepreneurship, WU, Austria
  • Dr. Richard Youngs, Senior Fellow, Carnegie Europe & Co-Author of “Shrinking Civic Space for Civil Society: the EU response” (European Parliament, 2017) Download PDF report

Venue: The Espai Catalunya Europa, Rue de la Loi 227, Brussels

Note to EN Member Organisations: you are also invited to attend our AGM on Monday 11/12/2017 at 16.30-18.30 followed by dinner. Follow the instructions on the registration form. It's quick and easy.

Best regards
